Mike Boone, President
Mike Boone began his career in commercial contracting over 35 years ago when he went to work in the family business – a company that specialized in the construction of stores for many Northwest grocery chains. After completing his four-year carpenter apprenticeship in 1976, Boone spent 10 years developing his experience. During that time, he worked for various heavy construction companies on tilt-up warehouse and office projects, and built structural roof systems for warehouse and distribution facilities. Boone also served as foreman and superintendent on numerous projects throughout Washington and Oregon.
It was in 1986 that Boone broke out on his own with his first company, specializing in commercial tenant improvements and high-end residential projects. Two years later, he sold the company’s assets and joined the new company as its project manager and estimator. Over the next 12 years, Boone provided leadership in the company in a number of other capacities, including project manager, operations manager and vice president of operations.
Well-grounded and ready for the next challenge, Boone and partner David McBride established Elite Commercial Contracting in 1998 and have grown it into the successful $25 million business it is today.

David McBride, Vice President and Operations Manager
A Washington State native with over 20 years in construction, David McBride began his career with a reputable, local general contractor, where he served a four-year apprenticeship and worked his way up to the position of lead carpenter.
Prior to forming Elite Commercial Contracting with Mike Boone, McBride served as job superintendent and worked for several excellent construction firms where he gained skill and experience in residential construction, remodeling, and commercial renovations for offices, retail outlets and more.

Tammie York, Chief Financial Officer
Tammie York began her accounting career at an early age. Fresh out of high school, she served as a bookkeeper with K-Mart and then spent the next seven years expanding her financial experience as a bank teller for Old Stone Bank and as an accounts payable accountant with Nelson Trucking and Raleigh Bicycles.
In 1998, York helped Elite principals to set up the new company's accounting processes before heading off to the University of Washington. Upon completion of her B.S. degree in accounting, she returned to the company and assumed the CFO position in 2002.
When asked what brought her back to Elite, York is effusive. "I just love working in a newer business and am excited to grow with it!" she says. "I really enjoy pulling it all together and being involved in the management of a $25 million company."
